Freight Forwarding Terms

Introduction

FactoryCargo provides freight forwarding, logistics coordination, supply chain management and related services.

BIFA Standard Trading Conditions

All freight forwarding, logistics and related services supplied by FactoryCargo are undertaken subject to the latest British International Freight Association (BIFA) Standard Trading Conditions.

BIFA Standard Trading Conditions (2025 Edition)

FactoryCargo is a member of the British International Freight Association (BIFA).

Commercial Terms

• Invoices are payable within 30 days unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• VAT, duty and disbursement invoices may require immediate payment.
• Invoice queries should be raised within 30 days of invoice date.
• Late payment interest may be charged in accordance with applicable UK legislation.
• FactoryCargo may conduct credit reference checks before extending credit facilities. Information relating to credit assessments will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
• FactoryCargo reserves the right to suspend services where invoices remain unpaid.

Service Delivery

FactoryCargo may act as:

• Freight forwarding intermediary
• Logistics coordinator
• Agent
• Consultant
• Technology platform provider

The role performed for a particular transaction shall be determined by the applicable quotation, service agreement, booking confirmation, statement of work or other written agreement.

Transportation, warehousing, customs clearance and related services may be performed by third-party providers.

Liability

Where freight forwarding services are provided, liability and responsibilities are governed by the applicable BIFA Standard Trading Conditions and any specific written agreement between FactoryCargo and the customer.

Where a conflict exists between a specific written agreement and the BIFA Standard Trading Conditions, the specific written agreement shall prevail.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
